Current Work

There is no doubt that some objects are resonant with personal history and narrative. It can be seen in the smooth patina or the sharply etched marks of time. It can be felt intuitively.

I have looked in a mirror and imagined I saw a face other than my own staring back. I have looked at the scarred face of a watch that records the time of its own death and wondered at the circumstances. I have marvelled at the volume of dispossessed objects waiting in the limbo of the antique shop. I have felt the desire to rescue them - restore their value - to revitalise or perhaps lay to rest.
