The 2008 show of MA Fine Art work will be taking place at CCI Portsmouth from Friday 21 November to Thursday 4 December. Private View Friday 21 November 5 to 7 pm.

150 artists have contributed to GIFT, a new project by Daniel Simpkins and Penny Whitehead. Each
artist has contributed an object that they have bought or found with the intention of using in an artwork, a
source of inspiration or a starting point for a work that was never made. Recently exhibited in Objects in
Waiting, this abundant and diverse collection of unused objects and unrealised ideas will be given as
gifts to visitors at a two-day event at Museum MAN, Liverpool, 17-18 November 2006. ...more

Phyl Payne will be contributing to Objects in Waiting, an exhibition being curated by artists Penny
Whitehead and Tom Newell, at Sheffield Hallam University. The exhibition takes place from 19 to 26 October in the End Gallery on the Psalter Lane Campus. The intention is to display objects that were found or bought with the idea of one day using them in the making of an artwork.
Over fifty artists with a diverse range of practices have already confirmed their participation in this project. ...more
